Historic Crab Orchard Museum & Pioneer Park
This is the location of the Crab Orchard Archaeological Site near Pisgah, in the mountainous area of Southwest Virginia, where excavations in the 1970s revealed evidence of a Virginia Indian settlement that dates to between ca. AD 1400 and 1600. The buildings shown here are part of the Historic Crab Orchard Museum & Pioneer Park. The museum includes exhibits about the archaeological site and the findings that emerged from the excavations.
