Temperance Spring

This stone pavilion with Doric columns—a monument to temperance—is located at a spring on the grounds of Bremo plantation in Fluvanna County. John Hartwell Cocke, who owned and co-designed the plantation's mansion and outbuildings early in the nineteenth century, was a temperance activist.
