Henry, Bishop of London

Henry Compton, the Bishop of London from 1675 until 1713, wears a cap and episcopal robes in this half-length engraved portrait made about 1685. The engraving was based on a painting by John Riley. This image was used as the frontispiece for Charles P. Keith's Henry Compton Bishop of London (1920).
