Notice. The Registration of the Voters
This 1867 printed broadside announces the times and place to go in Caroline County to register to vote for local delegates for the upcoming constitutional convention in Richmond. Registration was to take place at Bull Church every day from June 26, 1867, until July 2, 1867, "Sunday's excepted." This election was the first in which Black men were able to vote.
