South Side of Gunston Hall

This photograph shows the south side of Gunston Hall, the eighteenth–century home of George Mason in Fairfax County, which looks out toward the Potomac River. The garden adjacent to the house features borders of English boxwood that were planted during the Virginia lawmaker's lifetime.
