Sir Walter Raleigh's Quarters, Tower of London

This modern photograph shows Sir Walter Raleigh's quarters in the Bloody Tower section of the Tower of London, where he was incarcerated for over a decade after having been convicted in 1603 for conspiring against King James I. Raleigh spent his days tutoring the king’s eldest son and writing his book The History of the World (1614).
