Confederate Rail Lines
A watercolor and pen-and-ink map by Union private Robert Knox Sneden shows the rail lines that fed into Richmond and Petersburg during the Civil War. The lines, as identified by Sneden, include the Richmond and Danville, the Lynchburg (officially the South Side Railroad), the Norfolk and Petersburg, the Virginia Central, the Weldon, and the Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Potomac railroads.
